Covid-19 Update

All Douglas County Libraries locations are open and operating under governmental health guidelines.

Protect Yourself & Others

The state of Colorado is supplying DCL with a limited quantity of masks and rapid COVID-19 test kits* for distribution to customers from our Welcome Desks at all library locations during regular business hours. Customers may receive a maximum of 5 masks/person/month and a maximum of 4 test kits/person/month, on a first-come, first-served basis. People must be present to receive the masks and/or test kits, and cannot request masks or kits for others who are not present. This process will be based on the honor system. Hand sanitizer stations are set up at library entrances, public service desks, cash-handling points, and other heavily used areas. Douglas County Libraries continues to offer curbside and virtual services.
*Test kits are currently out of stock.

Safety Precautions & Protocols

Enhanced in-library cleaning and disinfecting procedures are ongoing using EPA-registered disinfectants and Protexus Electrostatic Sprayer disinfecting guns. Library HVAC systems provide "single pass 100% outside air."
